Hi, I’m Adia. I studied Biomedical Science & worked as a Genotyping Technician, until my role came to an end in August 2025. That moment became the push I needed to take a leap & pursue this dream full time.
This all actually started with my first dog, Akira. When she had allergies, I used to make her allergy friendly recipes & film fun little chef videos. Then one day I wanted to make her a real chef hat. That spark became the Barket Hat idea.
I’ve always been creative. I did art in high school, but drawing & painting eventually became painful for my hands. Sewing became a new way I could still create. I only started learning in December 2024… so I began with bandanas & bows while I built my skills, & slowly grew into the brand I dreamed of.
With every market, every stitch, every piece made by hand, I’ve realised tiny moments with our dogs become the big memories we hold onto forever.
Now I create small batch, handmade dog accessories designed to be intentional, joyful & full of personality. Matching with your pup isn’t just cute - it’s connection, & I’m so grateful I get to make pieces that become part of those memories.
