Designing Stage

Funny Enough The First Sketches For My Brand Weren't Of Bandanas Or Bows They Were Dog Hats. Particularly Bucket Hats As Different Animals Like A Frog. The Design Process Was A Long One & Involved Researching, Drawing, Trialing Out Templates & Making Prototypes.

Cutting & Ironing Fabric

I Use My Templates To Carefully Draw Each Shape Out Before Cutting Them Out & Ironing. Precision Is Important To Ensure All The Pieces Line Up Correctly With Each Other.

Sewing

Every Time You Order, Each Piece Is Handmade By Myself. No Mass Production Just A Girl & Her Sewing Machine! Each Matching Piece Is Sewn Together, Those Pieces Are Then Sewn Together Followed By Reinforcing Stitches To Ensure Durability & Structure As Well As Quality Control Where I Just Pull Things A Bunch Of Times To Make Sure It's Not Going Anywhere Haha.

Testing Them Out At Our Markets

I Use My Market To Gather Feedback On Ways To Improve My Products. In The First Version The Sides Were Too High So It Did Not Suit Floppy-Eared Dogs! So I Changed It. I Test & Retest On Various Dog Breeds So That You Get The Best Version Of The Barket Hat For Your Pup!

About Us

Hi, I’m Adia. I studied Biomedical Science & worked as a Genotyping Technician, until my role came to an end in August 2025. That moment became the push I needed to take a leap & pursue this dream full time.

This all actually started with my first dog, Akira. When she had allergies, I used to make her allergy friendly recipes & film fun little chef videos. Then one day I wanted to make her a real chef hat. That spark became the Barket Hat idea.

I’ve always been creative. I did art in high school, but drawing & painting eventually became painful for my hands. Sewing became a new way I could still create. I only started learning in December 2024… so I began with bandanas & bows while I built my skills, & slowly grew into the brand I dreamed of.

With every market, every stitch, every piece made by hand, I’ve realised tiny moments with our dogs become the big memories we hold onto forever.

Now I create small batch, handmade dog accessories designed to be intentional, joyful & full of personality. Matching with your pup isn’t just cute - it’s connection, & I’m so grateful I get to make pieces that become part of those memories.

We offer FREE SHIPPING across Australia if your order is over $50!

Standard AUS shipping under $50 is $7

Express AUS shipping is $12

International shipping is $15

When Will My Items Arrive?

Since every piece is made by hand (with a little help from our four-legged studio assistant), please allow for a little extra time for your order to ship. We promise - it's worth the wait.

Once it is created it will be sent via Australian Post:

Standard AUS Shipping: 2-8 Business Days
Express AUS Shipping: 1-4 Business Days
International Shipping: Is Typically Around 10 Business Days But Australian Post Suggests Allowing for 6-27 Business Days

Why Does My Shipping Cost That Much?

Unfortunately sending the package itself costs us between 15-25 AUD which does not cover the price of the actual satchel itself. Although we are happy to cover some of that in order to reduce that cost for you guys, as we are a small business we, unfortunately, can not afford to make the shipping cost completely free. We hope you can understand & we appreciate your support.
